Blazing Saddles

Blazing Saddles Cycling Team finished the 2011 MS150 and raised over $14,000 to fight Multiple Sclerosis. At the 2011 Annual Membership Meeting & Resource Fair on October 27, 2011, the team was awarded a Gold Team award for their efforts.

Lisa Taylor and Brittany Mangold attended and received the award for the team.  We rode for colleagues, friends and family that fight this disease every day. This year in particular, some of us were riding in memory of Kitty Preston’s brother-in-law who finally succumbed to MS and other conditions the week before the ride.

The ride was bittersweet. Most of us had a great time, but there was a horrendous crash early into the ride that left two teammates hospitalized with head injuries. Both have recovered fully and are still excited for the next ride in June of 2012.
